LINDA CARRARA_Milan, 1984

Linda Carrara lives and works between Gent, Brussels and Milan.

In March 2006 she graduated at the experimental department of contemporary art at Brera Academy in Milan. In 2015, she attended the Master in MultiMedia at the Belgian KASK Academy in Gent. She won the Premio Terna in 2015 with the work entitled Outer Space in which she studies light as a pictorial matter.

Carrara took part in several exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Every dawn has its own doubts Alda Merini wrote, and the art of Carrara is certainly made of a thousand doubts. Her paintings are scattered with clues, silence and ambiguity. That same absence of words that takes us in front of the amazement as in the face of losing and uncertainty.

The artists inquiry into human limitation and the inability to rationalize life and events translate into painting through the incomplete representation of the human figure. In a state of suspension, the latter changes to become almost dead, helpless and astonished by the irrationality of life.
